John and Vicki White purchased the original farmhouse in Fillmore, Illinois in 1975 and the family has enjoyed the country life on the large acreage. The White family wants to share what they have enjoyed for so many years with people who want to escape from the pressures of the modern world. Pheasant Valley Farms is the perfect place to share magical moments with friends and family in a peaceful setting.
The guest farmhouse has a tale to tell you. The White family purchased the second farm in 2004 and started renovating the house. While renovating it, John and Vicki found newspapers from 1897 insulating the walls. In the attic, they could see the remaining roof of a 2-room log cabin. This was probably a hunters cabin and they trapped the beavers and wildlife in the area for the pelts. During your stay, be sure to see the booklet in the farmhouse with some of the newspaper articles and history of the woman that lived in this house.
Today Pheasant Valley Farms offers lodging, ideal for couples, friends, family, business people, or anyone who has always dreamed of their own private farm getaway on 400 acres of beautiful and peaceful farmland. Guests can spend their time at Pheasant Valley Farms hiking the trails, fishing or just relaxing on the front porch.
